Getting Here

When arriving in the Naval Air Station Point Mugu area by plane, the nearest major airport is the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport which is located about 42 miles from the station. Another major airport is the Los Angeles International Airport which is located about 47 miles from the station.

Taxis are available from the airport or arrangements can be made with your sponsor for transportation. There are bus and train facilities but both modes of transportation take passengers as far as Oxnard which is 15 miles from the station. If arriving by car, take Highway 101 from the north or south and take the Las Posas Road exit going south. Continue on Las Posas through stop signs and stop lights at the Pleasant Valley intersection and Proceed until Las Posas crosses over Highway 1 and dead-ends onto the Los Posas Road gate. Proceed to Building 1 by the gate guard during daylight hours.
